Technology Spotlight - mbrace System

mbraceTech.jpg
There’s nothing worse than being stuck on the road with the same six songs playing on repeat. Luckily, technology has come a long way in recent years, and we’re now able to head out on road trips safe in the knowledge that we’ll be connected and entertained the entire way. The Mercedes-Benz mbrace® system in particular offers a myriad of features designed to keep you in the loop, no matter where you are. Keep reading to learn more about the features:

In-Vehicle Apps

Never again will you have to eat at a crummy restaurant in an unknown town only to discover a really great one was just around the corner. Using mbrace’s in-vehicle apps, you can get food recommendations from Google Local Search by checking Yelp to find restaurant reviews and you can also review your eatery on Facebook. By using mbrace you can also check movie times, flight information, financial news, and more.

Emergency Assistance

Whether you’re driving to and from work or from one side of the country to the other, knowing that you have backup in case of emergency is priceless. Mercedes’ mbrace® system features trained specialists that can be reached at the touch of a button—or, if you’re in an accident and your airbags deploy or your seatbelt tensioner is activated, your car will make the call for you. And if you break down, the Roadside Assistance feature will get you the help you need to get back on the road as soon as possible.

Safety for the Family

The mbrace system allows concerned parents to keep tabs on their children’s driving without being intrusive. Using the system, you can set up driving zones online, and receive an alert when a boundary is crossed or a maximum speed is exceeded. The same boundaries can be set when you valet your car, and a built-in GPS system will help police track your car should it be stolen.

Remote Access

Next time you stumble across a new restaurant or attraction while surfing the web, you can send the destination directly to your car’s navigation system thanks to Send2Benz™. You can also do this using an available smartphone app. Additionally, the app can show you where you parked, check that you locked your car, or even sound the horn.

Travel and Assistance

Traveling has never been easier. With mbrace®, you can send an address to your navigation system via Google Maps. You can also take advantage of the Concierge service, which will book flights, hotel, and car rental for you, as well as plenty of other chores.
