Check Out the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and How it Stacks Up to the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4 in the Atlanta Area

Picking out a suitable luxury sedan can often feel confusing and overwhelming because there are many options to choose from and you might not have the time to compare them all. Here at Mercedes-Benz of Buckhead serving Decatur, we're happy to do the groundwork for you and we've taken one of our favorite models, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and compared it to similarly-styled models from BMW and Audi. While they both represent cornerstones of the luxury car market, they often fall flat in comparison to the Mercedes-Benz in many categories. If you want a model that can handle the daily commute Tucker with the same flair and flash you can have for some weekend fun, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a mark above the rest!

Mercedes-Benz C-Class vs. BMW 3 Series

  • Both models come equipped with 255-horsepower, 2.0-liter turbocharged engines. The Mercedes-Benz and BWM models offer similar performances including the ability to accelerate from 0 - 60 mph in under 6.0 seconds.
  • While the BMW 3 Series does manage a slightly more efficient performance in the city and on the highway in terms of fuel economy, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class can hold almost two more gallons of gas than its BMW counterpart. That means fewer stops at the gas pump.
  • The two luxury sedans are at a similar height but the Mercedes-Benz is both shorter and thinner than the BMW meaning you can maneuver into tighter spaces with much more ease.
  • The exterior design of the C-Class sedan is elegant and seamless with an eye-catching look that many other models can't match. The BMW sedan is also able to catch the attention of your friends and family around Stone Mountain but it won't do it with the same style that the Mercedes-Benz C-Class offers.
  • Climbing inside the interiors will reveal a story about what luxury is really like. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class offers leather trim optional on all of its models- something that the BMW 3 Series does not.
  • Both models offer an upgrade to a 10.25-inch touchscreen display for easy access to your favorite songs and apps. However, the BMW only offers it on the more expensive M340i while the Mercedes-Benz C-Class provides it optionally on the base trim level.

  • Smartphone integration is provided on the C-Class sedan so you can connect to an Apple or Android device with no issue. The best the BMW can do is a trial availability of Apple CarPlay™.
  • The BMW model does offer some safety features but it doesn't include Active Brake Assist which is included standard with the Mercedes-Benz.
  • Mercedes-Benz C-Class vs Audi A4

    • Even though both models are offered with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, the Mercedes-Benz outstrips the Audi with more horsepower (255 to 248). They both offer 273 pound-feet of torque.
    • Both sedans are equally efficient, offering 23 mpg in the city and 34 mpg while on the highway. But, the Audi A4 only comes with a 15.3-gallon gas tank which pales in comparison to the 17.4-gallon tank on the C-Class model.

    • The Mercedes-Benz and the Audi cars offer cozy seating for up to five passengers but if you're looking to provide more legroom for your front-row passengers, go with the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

    • Once again, the C-Class model is shorter and thinner meaning when you need to find parking in Conyers, you'll have an easier time of it than with the Audi A4.

    • Whether you choose the Mercedes-Benz C-Class or the Audi A4, you'll find that both are equipped with a seven-inch base touchscreen, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ as standard choices. However, the Mercedes-Benz gives you the option to upgrade to a 10.25-inch touchscreen on the base model which is not offered with the Audi.

    • Active Brake Assist and Attention Assist are both standard features on the C-Class sedan; they are not available from the Audi A4 base model.
Base MSRP excludes transportation and handling charges, destination charges, taxes, title, registration, preparation and documentary fees, tags, labor and installation charges, insurance, and optional equipment, products, packages and accessories.
